Preschool

I just did a blog post, outlining our preschool or K4 curriculum choices.  You can read it here.

Geography

Here are some resources we use for learning geography.  My kids enjoy geography and I rarely have to remind me to do these lessons .

My kids love this book!
It's good to not only learn locality, but information about these places on the map.
A keeper on our bookshelves. Click on the book above to view it on Amazon.
We downloaded the free software, Seterra, and my kids play almost daily.  They've used this to learn the location of all 50 states and are currently working on the Canadian provinces.  They enjoy competing with one another for speed and accuracy.  Of course, I join in sometimes and they were laughing like crazy when I was mixing up some of those provinces. haha!  I've gotten rusty in my old age.  Even my 4 year old plays.  He does continents and even tries to keep up with the older ones in their studies.  He's actually pretty good for his age.

Another resource we love is the web site Sheppard's Software.  This site has many games, but their geography page can be found here.  Currently my kids are learning the oceans, bays, major lakes and rivers.  You can find links to those games on this page.
