If anyone can tell me how to center a photo embedded from Pinterest and then also center the caption below it, I'd appreciate it much. Okay, now back to the subject. :-) I loved this little quilt and when I saw the swap, it was the perfect opportunity to make one. It didn't meet the size requirements for the swap, so I added a border with pin wheel blocks in the corners. Here is the one I made for my swap partner:

And here is the one I've made for me. I have not quilted mine yet.
I also followed a tutorial to make a label for my quilt. Found here on Pinterest:
Mine:
I really enjoyed making this mini. It's so fun and cheery! But, it did challenge more than I anticipated. Piecing such small blocks, finished at 3 1/2" inches, made me feel like a beginner. I welcomed the practice though and enjoyed the time spent. Can hardly wait to finish mine now!!

OK, you've got to teach me to quilt freehand like that. That's amazing!
ReplyDeleteI can't center the caption on pins either so I just make the photo larger and it looks like it's underneath it. Sorry I'm no help.
I haven't looked, but if you don't have one already you need to start a board of pins you've tried.
Your version of the Sew Small Sampler are DARLING! Can I share your pictures in my gallery of finished projects using the tutorial?
ReplyDeleteI saw your quilts on Wedding Dress Blue, and came for another look. Such wonderful little things, and I can't believe you made two with all those lovely TINY pieces. LOL!
